About

A specialist's path to the endocrine system

Dr. Hira Irfan is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist with fellowship training in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology & Diabetes. Her training took her from King Edward Medical University in Lahore through residency and an endocrinology fellowship at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, with clinical observerships in Michigan, USA along the way.

Today she manages a wide spectrum of endocrine conditions — diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, metabolic syndrome, obesity, and pituitary & adrenal disease — with an emphasis on evidence-based treatment, clear patient education, and long-term disease management rather than one-off fixes.

Thyroid Disorders

Hypo- and hyperthyroidism, nodules, and thyroid cancer follow-up, including radioiodine therapy planning.

Weight & Obesity Management

Medical weight management grounded in metabolic testing, including newer therapies where appropriate.

Pituitary & Adrenal Disease

Prolactinoma, adrenal insufficiency, and other hormonal disorders requiring specialist interpretation.

Complex & Rare Cases

Insulinoma, gastrinoma, SIADH, and other uncommon presentations — informed by published case work.
